What is this?

Part of my grandfather's small collection. This knife is 11 inches long, the blade is 6 3/4 inches. There are no markings anywhere on it. The age would have to be 35+ years. He displayed it on a piece of drift wood in his office. My thought is, it's only a kit knife, but maybe something more, he was in the Navy during WWII.

Looks like a hand made knife. Very cool, keep it in the family.

It is still sharp, probably been in storage in a drawer for twenty years and sliced newsprint. I think it's awesome. Thanks for the reply!
