It's a real, genuine, flea market special. It's a no name fantasy sword most likely worth about $20. For yours and everyone and everything around you's safety do not try to cut anything with that.

Yeah that's what I thought as well. I got it from a friend who's girlfriend didn't want it in there house. But what name brand bla bla is it? Its a real cool tooth picker :) I have asked several stores and they don't know. One said it was a custom? Worth around 1000 skr (yeah I'm Swedish)

Look for an origin mark on it somewhere? Probably Pakistan or China. That's probably all the information you'll get off it, they usually don't have brand names stamped on them. It's a fantasy sword, made to look cool.

It's just plane black steel, deadly steel. Thinking about selling it. But I don't know the category. Ninja bushwhacker vigilante?

If there is no makers mark or brand name, then all we can say is that it is a fantasy sword/knife. It is not "A machete , katana, combat sword" it is just a piece of fantasy made out of metal based on the appearance.

Thank you for your help. Fantasy Mumbo-Jumbo it is then. Latest answer I got was a custom from cold stele..

It looks an awful lot like the "Secret Agent Sword" from BudK. Maybe an older version?

Yeah I agree, I have it just in case someone tryes to breaks in. Already chashed one dude of my property

zoomed in--yup. it does. the exact model is the Extrema Ratio KH Khukri. 12.4 inch blade, N690 stainless, and a heck of a lot more than I'd pay for a machete, even a good one. on this plus side, 1/4" blade thickness, which is nice. I dunno, maybe it's me, I was put off by ER stuff, that weird tiger striping they do was never much to my preference.

it really does, but i figure they've designed that to be as similar as possible to the Italian-issue military sidearm grip style, utilitarian functionality, and by designing it in what is perceived as as such, that's a marketing gimmick in itself. The common belief is that governmentally regulated institutions are sqaureish, boxy, if you will, devoid of inventiveness, and have a certain nonyielding presence..this is a common conception, and is widely held, and perpetuated throughout media stereotypes. the populace at large associates "utilitarian" with "mil-spec, or govt issue", and as such, creates a marketable product. everyone wants to use the SAME knife/tool/gun, etc, as the "special forces", and this is no different.
