We're coming to the end of another year and reflecting back, it has been quite an exciting one with regard to all the Spyderco releases. After much deliberation I vote the Spyderco Vallotton Sub-Hilt Folder as my 2011 Spyderco Knife of the Year. How about you?

I would say the S90V/ CF Para 2. I didn't own mine for too long before my wife lost it over the side of a boat. But it was the cream of the crop of the Paras that have come out. I looked into trying to track down another but they were all sold out and too expensive on the secondary market for a guy who is disabled and can't work.

Manix II M4 Tan, it's my only one since the Millie M390 isn't here yet. Oh well, gotta start somewhere.

I have to agree, the Para2, so amazing; been in my pocket almost every day since I got it. I am carrying my Delica 4 today, been a long time since I carried it (well actually since I got the Para2).

+1 This is my most favorite knife ever! has the best ergonomics and blade steel. The thing holds an edge forever! Plus I got it at a great price when it was just coming out. cant beat 180 for that kind of a knife!

Para2, I think

But the Dfly2, orange Delica and Ti UKPK are right up there

I think I will buy a Caly3.5 in the new year. I had talked myself out of it ... but that didn't last

Any cheers for the Native 5?

As much as I love my Para 2 I think the Native 5 is such a great EDC. Kudos to Eric for improving both great designs.

My choice is the Para 2, without a doubt.

Just received my third one in the mail today.....first one I gave to my son, second one is my EDC and this third one is a backup. ;)

I really like my grey Para 2. The more I use it, the more it impresses me. Small enough to carry just about anywhere, great ergos and super smooth opening, the beloved Military fine tip with some belly, and the steel. For work related tasks, that 20CP is dominating.

I'd have to say the Paramilitary 2, also. I really like the Yojimbo 2, but It's kind of an '11/12 knife, since it's not really in full production release yet.

Mine is the same here as it was on the Spyderco factory forum, the Chaparral. For me, out of this year's crop of new models, it wins hands down. It's a lightweight, compact, sturdy, super slicer that's also attractive, fully ambidextrous, and legal carry in the city near my home. Hard combo to beat. It earned my respect handling 90% of my knife needs when I was packing to move from NY to SC. Cut a lot of cardboard, ranging from light stuff to heavy double wall, as well as strapping tape, bubble wrap, and plastic stretch film. Sure, there are tasks where a longer blade would be more efficient, but these days they're few and far between for me.

No question, the 20CP Para2 with gray G10. With that said, that CF S90V Para2 sounds yummy. Wish I could pick one up now to give it a try!
