A couple of days ago I bought a Spyderco SS PE Cricket and it replaced my Kershaw boron black Chive which after a few years had replaced my (only because I @#$% lost it) Case small pocket worn red bone texas toothpick.

This cricket is so very nice and handy!

Yes, it is my new treasure, and no it does not compare at all to a small Sebenza.

So, what is your favorite knife under two inches and under fifty United States dollars?

Chris

My Leatherman micra...does way more than any single small knife could do :-P

Sorry, it's just all my folders are larger than 2" except my micra.

if going under 2", the ss pe jester works well... might be able to find it and the micra for under 50usd if you hunt. both on my keys and get used a lot.

if the 2" rule wasn't there, check out the ss pe 'fly. Been abusing mine since aug 20, 01... still solid

I would think the Simonich Bitterroot...S30V and around 1.6" blade. $45. Great everyday fixed blade... ;)

The new Nemesis Hellion is a similar blade, and around $50.

Wenger Esquire. It was my first knife. It held up incredibly, the scissors are far superior to Victorinox scissors, and I prefer the location of the tweezers and toothpick.

Toss up between a Spyderco vg-10 Mouse bought NIB for $39 or vg-10 Navigator for $25.

Wait a minute, the Navigator is a little over 2" so I guess the Mouse wins!

I just ordered a Victorinox Swisscard, a credit card - sized gadget holder, which contains a very small knife, scissor, and a couple of other gadgets. I suspect that will become my favorite < 2" knife just because it means I don't have to carry anything extra (beyond the wallet that I usually carry) to always have a knife on me.

I used to carry a Spyderco Jester on my keychain for that purpose, but with large electronic gizmo for my car that rides on the keychain, plus an assortment of keys, even that was too much.

I generally have my Chinook II on me, so for the rare times that I don't, or for when I'm among my more timid companions, the SwissCard should suffice.

The Mini Superknife also looks like it would fulfill the same role well, but this has a couple extra gadgets.
