I know there are other threads like this one, but they never have much of a price limit on them. Most of my BM's that I buy are in the Red class, but there are a few in the Blue class that have my money. I like all of my BM's ( I guess if I had to pick, it would be the Monochrome, but I am getting a 555 soon) just wandering what other's favorite "low cost" BM is. What class do you own the most knives from? So, $0-$100 let me know what you like best.

The 556 Mini-Griptilian...That is one hell of a GREAT knife for under $100.

It's pretty much a "no contest" for under a hundred bucks. The large Griptilian is great knife for even over $100 (which is why I bought the Ritter Grip). The mini-Grip is fine if you need a smaller knife but if not, go for the large one. I prefer drop point, plain blade. But the large number of blade styles is another one of it's pluses for the price.

The 551 drop-point Griptilian without a doubt!
If it had a G-10 handle it would be THE KNIFE.

I like my Stryker, I paid $79.00 for it. It's a very high quality knife and one of the best liner locks I've ever owned.

It actually runs just over $100 by a few bucks and its the HK34 also known as the 14210.

Great little everyday knife this one.

'cause it's the only Benchmade I have, so far - but I love it! Next step is the Griptillian!

I'd like to see it in micarta. Problem is, the Zytel handle is also part of the structure of the knife. It doesn't have true scales that can just be replaced. They would have to redesign the entire handle. On well, we can dream.

Ambush is a nice knife but for the price, just want to point out that the blade steel is only AUS-8A and the Grip is 154CM. That alone would make the Griptilian the winner. No offense intended, of course. Just informing the original poster.

Only Benchmade I own that is less than $100 is a Monochrome. Sweet little knife, Great steel (N690), *zero* blade play, Slick action, and best part is, I got it for 10 bucks new at a pawn shop. . . :D

The $100 mark is a key range because there are a lot of knives that go for just over that mark, but if you're patient, you can find them under $100. I got my 552 Ritter Griptilian for $90. They normally go for about $110 or so. Clearly under $100, I'd say the 551 model Griptilian in D2. I really like mine in 440C. The knives that you generally get for just over $100:

HK34/14200
710
552 Ritter Grip
940
520
