What is your favorite camo pattern

Plaid. I hunt deer with a longbow (mine not theirs) so I need to be close for a shot. Commercial patterns are fine but not really necessary IMO.

I like Realtree, Predator Camo and Green and black plaid. I think its more important to be sent free and to move slow than what color you wear.

Mossy Oak good stuff. I once had a barred owl land between my feet when i was in my summit climber stand. Pretty cool wish i would have had a camera on my head at the time. He sat there for a couple of minutes staring at me and my bow. I did'nt move a muscle just stared back at him. He finally flew to another tree not far from me. I was camoed out totally with face paint and all. I think it worked that day.

Ive never worn cammo except for a Treebark cap. As far as cool factor , I like the Viet Nam era tiger stripe.

In my neck of the woods... VN Tiger Stripe bottoms and an Italian Army top.

You've all seen the VNTS... so above is the Italian stuff.

The tiger pants blend well with the low mountain laurel and the big blotches of color on the Italian jacket break up your outline with everything else.

:)

I like the military camo patterns better than the stuff that looks like trees. I wear a lot of earth toned, drab colors in olive, gray, and brown.

I never wear camo when I'm hunting unless there is a particular piece of gear I'm using thats only available in camo, or I'm turkey or coyote hunting.

Turkey's and song dogs are the only animals it seems to make a difference on.

It doesn't matter what camo you have on if you move around too much. I can't think of one time I was busted by an animal because I didn't have camo on. I've been busted because I moved at the wrong time or because the wind changed.

I may just be old fashioned, but personally I never cared for the currently popular "photorealistic" camo (Realtree, Mossy Oak, etc.). I just don't think they are as effective at medium to long range as old school Woodlands camo at breaking up the human silhouette. Much the same goes for most of the modern "digital" camo, IMO.

A lot of game was put down long before there was any "camo". Earth tones, checks and plaids and hard learned hunting skills have worked for 45+ years for me.Good luck!--KV

IMO that photo realistic stuff is all marketing BS.

I still use good old woodland camo. Works just as good. I used to use this playing paintball too. Ive had people look right at me sitting in some brush from literally 10 feet and not even know it. I can't imagine anyone would need anything more!

Also as Cramsey3006 said, movement is what matters more.

I don't think the pattern is that important, as long as it's muted colors. Being still and hunting into the wind is far more importamt in my humble opinion. I ussually buy for the quality and warmth of the clothes instaed ofthe camo pattern. This time of year here in ND it has to be white. :)

I like realtree and advantage a lot. I am also trying to get into wool and old style duck camo and blotch woodland.
