Don't know about what works best on Zombies.....but that is a beautiful knife, and a very nice "low key" (at least for you:D) video!!!
I agree that the TNT pattern is my favorite Damasteel

I agree that damasteel is AWESOME damascus. I have a blade with "Odin's eye" damasteel that is probably my favorite of those I possess.

Also, "feather" pattern done by several forgers is right up there as is Devin Thomas's spirograph.

Then there are the mosaics such as DHIII's, and Shane Taylor's having VERY cool images within the patterns.

VERY nice knife Mike!

I have ten knives in Damasteel, love it. Overall, IMO, some of the best damascus in the world comes from the hands of Mike Norris.

I love damascus, most ALL damascus, probably pretty obviously from my collection.

I find it gives the knifemaker another avenue to apply his skills and it's easier to maintain than carbon steel.
And it's like a finger print in that no two damascus blades will ever be exactly the same, thus increasing the uniqueness of a knife.

On the way to Easter services, I saw a car this morning with the license plate "DMASCUS." I wondered what was behind that.

It seems to me that I have seen a lot of stainless Damascus in the past year.

Damasteel seems to be good stuff, and a lot of good makers are using it.

Jerry Rados makes some killer Damascus, especially his Twisted Turkish stuff. I am also quite partial to Jay Hendrickson's Damascus.

As far as feather patterns, Bruce Bump and Kevin Casey make some stuff that really appeals to me.

I like Johan Gustafsson's multicolored mosaic Damascus. And speaking of colors, I really dig Bertie Reitvold's dragon pattern.

Just too much really great Damascus to even scratch the surface.

Always wanted a damasteel knife, so I went to the BAY looking and found some Chris Reeve Damasteel models. So tempting.

I don't really have a favourite damascus pattern, so much as I enjoy the incredible range and diversity offered to the buyer. And as much as I admire the highly complex and tightly controlled patterns, I have a soft spot for good old random - folded steel that makes whatever pattern it will. I've seen some stunning examples over the years - stuff that looks almost fluid - like a river or a lava flow. They are like a Rorschach inkblot rendered in steel - different people will see different things in the pattern, as opposed to being told "this is wolfstooth", "this is feather" or what have you.

I'll always have a number of damascus pieces in the collection mix.

The bold pattern on this blade definitley works, Mike.

Odd that you would voice this as I have noticed that the majority of people that come through my shop have the same. So much so that I often wonder if the complex patterns are worth making since a simple random pattern seems to be just as desirable as one with much more time & effort involved.
