What is your favorite GEC pattern?

After a few not so happy purchases of other brands I find that I'm really drawn to GEC's quality and patterns. While I do not have many patterns I have found one that I really seem to carry and use more than the others. Part of it is due to my attraction to Wharncliffe blades. My personal favorite is the pocket friendly Half Congress #62. I also like now the Dogleg Jack fits in the hand but the #62 really sees so much more use.

What's your favorite GEC pattern?

And of course pictures......

Not exactly a direct GEC but a relative (GEC manufactured Scagel)

I'd say that my ebony spearpoint dogleg is way up there for faves. I also really like my ivory casien two blade scout (trapper).

My faves, in order of preference, are the #62s:

The #89 slim Wharncliffe whittlers (I need to photograph more of mine):

And the #72 lockback clip points (I love Wharncliffes, but the closed profile of the Wharnie lockback has proven to be a bit too wide for my EDC tastes):

The #56 spear point Dogleg is pretty sweat, too (I have an ebony Northfield. Who doesn't?), and I'm seldom without my #26 sleeveboard Wharncliffe "Little Carver;' probably my most often used GEC.

I never met a GEC I didn't like, but I generally prefer their slim 'finesse' patterns over their hefty stuff for aesthetics and day to day carry.

The 56 Doglegs without a doubt....but I think you gents knew that already, lol. I`m a jack fan through and through, and the clip point doglegs from GEC just feel right in everyway from carry to use.

But.........you guys keep tossin up those beauty shots of the 62`s, man, would I love to try one of those out someday.

I love this knife. This was the only knife I carried for the first few months of the year until I received my Lanny's Clip from Keith Johnson.

Why must we choose? I only have two at the moment. I think the AAPK trapper (Model 48) is a little bit of a favorite over the whittler, but they are both really great knives.

I'm wanting one (or more) of those executive whittlers and one (or more) the 62's and the new conductors.

This thread is hurting my feelings because I don't have enough of these wonderful knives. But, I am enjoying those you guys are showing me. Indeed!!!

Can't say which one but I like most but the 73 single blade, 48 single blade,56 Dogleg Spear, 25 EZ-Open single blade are ALL greatly liked. I'm still waiting for the 33 Conductor but that postman seems to be boycotting me......

Slimline, single-blade #48 (and Scagel's) for me. I am carrying this one today again.

Though #73 is most numerous GEC in my collection, I mainly use it in home and in woods.

So my favourite GEC's in urban carry:

#48 Trappers are my favorite. The slim single bladed, regular, and jack are all great. I haven't found a GEC that I didn't like yet (I didn't try all the patterns yet though)

The #73s, #25s, #61s, #12s, #56, #53s, are all great too. The only one that hasn't seen pocket time is the #23 as its bigger than I need for my day.

The GECs that I carry the most (and I seem to be only carrying GECs and Schrades these days) are: #66BJM Moose, #72 Red Stag Lockback, and #33 Ebony Conductor.

I think I'm still trying to find my favorite, but I'm pretty sweet on the single blade EZ open 25s. Also the 56 dog leg spears, the 61s both full & half, the 62s, & the 33s.

Well, I only own 25's at the moment, so I'd say they're it. Need to get some pics up.

Even though I don't have one yet any of the #53s or #54s except the spear blade harness jack or the muskrat!

My absolute favorite GEC (or any other company's) pattern is the #53 Cuban Stockman at 4-1/8" OAL.
I like the equal end frame, the choice of blades, all nicks positioned for right hand deployment, and no half-stops.

My favorite Cuban, in exterior ram's horn.

My number two pattern is the same #53 frame, but in the Furtaker Trapper. Here's mine in burnt stag.

My third favorite GEC pattern is this #73 Jack in Hemlock Green Bone, pen in front with both nicks on mark side, 3-3/4".

I have to give an honorable mention to their toothpick. I didn't really like the pattern until GEC brought one out,
but now I also have a few from S&M, who also make some beautiful examples.
