I'm curious to know what your favorite handles are on your knives (folders primarily)?

What materials do prefer? What do you look for? Why?

It's not my favorite knife, but my favorite handle is on my Kershaw Ken Onion Boa. It fits my hand great, and has great ergonomics for me. Also the clip is very comfortable and doesn't get in the way.

My favorite handle material is 6061 T6 (Aircraft Aluminum), I find myself looking for knives w/ these handles (ie.Microtech Socoms and the Benchmade 520).

Style: BM 520 at first, second: Crawford - Kaspar.

Material: Steel / G10 or as mentioned steel / ally like the 520.

Guess the 520 is the best folder in it´s size actually available.

G10 or linen Micarta. Both are very "grippy". Especially the Micarta, even when wet.

My favorite handles, ergonomically speaking are the Kaspar (as you mentioned) and my Strider SMF.

I seem to lean towards aluminum handles, don't know why. The knives that I carry generally have 6061-T6 aluminum handles. Right now I am carrying a Benchmade 943, before that I carried a Kershaw Boa, and for a long time I carried a Benchmade 640 mini spike, all of which have or had aluminum handles. I have to concure that the handle on the Boa are very comfortable when gripped, ergonomics are great.

It seems like most of my knives are Titanium handled. Not that I intended it that way, but I guess it just happened that the knives I like have Ti handles. I actually like contoured carbon fiber better, not the flat shiny stuff, but like William Henry does.

My favorite? LCC Ti bolsters, and Carbon fiber.:D

G-10 or Linen Micarto will suit me just fine. I also have a weakness for Desert Ironwood.

There's just something about carbon fiber combined with Titanium that really gets me. I tend to collect gent's folders, and the William Henry carbon fiber series are a perfect match for my needs.

The material used on Neil Blackwood's Mini Melee is Leopard Spots Fibermascus.
Looked like this before finishing:

Compared to a lot of the previous responses, you'll all probably label me as poor white trash...

But of all of the Bucks and Gerbers and Kershaws and Camillus' that I have...

My favorite "handle" is the Gerber Gator. Nice and thick, rubberized, and recurved like a real fixed-blade hunter. Nobody's ever getting that away from me. And my certain wintertime edc, when fingers are sometimes numbed.

Mine's a stud-gator. Out of pocket and open, fast as a Leek, "Hi, How are'ya, I'm more trouble than it's worth..."

Edited to add:
P.S. My summertime carry edc is a Kershaw Blackout. Very smallest handle I will accept.

My favorite fixed blade handle is the Crawford-Kasper. My favorite folder handle is the one on my REKAT Carnivor. I like most any handle that has double finger choils.

My least favorite handles are those with little or no guard, and slippery scales, like the BK&T handles.

I prefer titanium for both strength, weight and feel, carbon fiber for the same reasons. As for shape, the Boa is hard to beat, very comfortable.

I've heard mixed reviews on Emerson knives, but the Commander looks like a nice G10 ergo handle/grip... but i've only looked at them.
