What is your favorite knife magazine and why?

Personally I like BLADE, it is the only knife mag that I have ever read so I don't have anything to compare it to. It has some great knives in it and I like the pictures, the articles are interesting too.

KNIFE is without a doubt the most visually impressive magazine on the Market. This magazine is light years ahead of the American rags. The pictures are incredible and the paper stock and print quality are awesome.

None of our stateside magazines come close to covering makers, even American makers. For instance the work of EMERSON, SZABO, STRIDER, RYAN and WARREN THOMAS have never been covered half as well in all the articles from Tac Knives, Blade and KI put together. KNIFE is in a realm of its own. It does our industry justice.

Unfortunately, its from Japan which makes it expensive hard to find and very tricky to read at times unless you are comfortable reading Kanji.

But, that's just my opinion and I could be wrong...

KI is my mag of choice next to blade. But then anything that has to do with knives I'll pick up and read.

Blade and KI are a tie. Their all I can find really. Tac Knives is around but nowhere near my house. Blade is doing an article on the Bowie family very interesting read. Also I know theres a quarterly switchblade mag/ for sale journal is there one for us balisongers?

Well, I buy Blade magazine and sometimes KI, and a french magazine called "Couteaux" (not sure about the name, can't seem to find a copy at the moment) if I can find it here.

I would like to know more about the Japanese magazine "Knives", like which publisher, do they have a website, is it possible to order them somewhere online? TIA

I haven't seen it it some time but I used to red "Fighting Knives" mag aften. I do not read magizines that originate from Ca. because they never keep me up to date on the Batangas.
