Long. Hands down. If it's a crescent I like it recessed in a swedge. Somehow it's more comfortable.

&$%£@! I just voted and got 100% of the vote! What's going on?! ;) :D

I like a nail nick myself... Always thought a long pull was a little, well, posh for a barlow. :)

Interesting - you can see exactly who voted for what, until you vote yourself.

I voted standard crescent. Long pulls are lovely and all that, but I want a knife I can open. Barlows tend to have half stops, stout springs, and short blades. I want something with some leverage.

Of course, I assume you are not just asking out of idle curiosity but are in the stages of planning a new SFO from GEC, which means potential for nailbreakers in the first place, so that influenced my vote.

I like a long pull on a single blade :)

100% long pull, I prefer a straight pull, but matchstriker is definitely not a deal breaker.

One of the first things I look for in a knife is if it has a long pull or not. Something aesthetically pleasing about it.

Love the looks of a long pull but for pure "functionality" a Standard Crescent work best for me.

I would absolutely rejoice if you ordered some barlows with a Match Strike Crescent pull. Please.

Guess I will throw my vote out to the public. I love the long pull but there is something about a long matchstrike that just calls to me.

My preference probably depends on the blade shape. I'd have to check some photos of various combinations, but I suspect I'd prefer a long pull on a sheepsfoot and a nail nick on a clip. It might even depend on whether I get to have a secondary blade, and where that's located relative to the main blade.
But that's all aesthetics. I don't have tons of knife experience, but I haven't found one yet that I couldn't manage to open, whatever the pull. Thanks for asking.
