What is your favorite slip joint knife with s Wharncliffe blade?

I'm not really a huge Wharnie fan, but the GEC #48 Improved Trapper (in its various permutations) is really nice.

I love the swayback pattern for a wharncliffe blade. It just sits so well in this handle shape. Like this one by Bret Dowell:

The Otter webermesser is a great tool, indeed and features a wharnie :)

Mine would be my avatar knife, a Schatt & Morgan F&W English Jack, which Don Hanson III of Sunfish Forge reground for me.
He turned the spear blade into a beautiful Wharncliffe.

This one. Not a true wharncliffe because it lacks a perfectly straight edge, but I haven't noticed any difference except when sharpening.

Sensational! We have a candidate for Knife of the Year in this one. You are a lucky man, really.

I admire the Ohta approach to Wharncliffes although my own Ohta comes with a lengthy Clip.

As regards a production knife, the GEC 55 Houndstooth is a very pleasing example.

Regards, Will

#55 Houndstooth is hands down my favorite wharnie. Since it arrived in summer its been my primary edc. It just recently had its tip slightly reshaped because I broke it. Have not noticed a true lack of performance for the wear. Look forward to many more years of use. The bone is just so perfect and aging nicely I may add. I am edging ever so close to buying a backup before they are gone.

When she was new, hot and humid that day ;)

In contrast to the rainy day we are having today

Is it summertime yet??? :D

This one, which I regret selling :(

Also this CASE is such a great knife and it's a shame I don't give it enough pocket time :o
