I like pretty much every knife that was ever made. But I guess i would have to say Big Bowies, preferably rustic like Gibs.

What's you favorite?

I'm like you Mark. I like them all but if I had to pick one to be my favorite style.....It would be a Scottish Dirk!

I like sharp ones......

Don't care about size or style, as long as it is sharp. Nothing sucks worse than a dull knife...

That's funny Doc. When I was a kid (yes they had invented steel then) that's the way country people Judged others. There was a town nearby called Forestville. It was known for having unusually stupid residents.

The old folks in Quickburg used to say "There ain't a sharp knife in Forestville".

I think it may have been true. :D

Hey Don,

I've got a Mossberg 12 ga pump "Country squire' that has a jammed action. looks like the safety fell apart and down into the works. I dont have the patience to mess with it. It's yours if you want it. maybe you could make a nice bike scattergun with it :)

I have heard that before Peter, growing up in Mississippi, and living in the Southeast almost all my life.

My point was, it does not matter how well made the knife is or how sexy the grind line, or pattern in the steel. If I pic the thing up and it won't cut it instantly became an ugly knife....

in the words of the 'Big Shwag' ZIP,ZERO...Nadda. I just dont have any use for it. i figured you could make somethin cool out of it. We need to pick some w/e and meet somewhere halfway to excahnge crap :)

I'm putting together a little care package Mark. You intereested in a foot or so of Wrought iron?

Well, I guess I would call what I like semi tactical stuff. I like the older styles too. Guess thats why I make fixed blades with slab handles. HEll I like all knives but I like the type I can make. I just haven messed with other styles but full tang / slab handles yet.

Simple designs are by far my favorite with a little stye thrown in but they must be user friendly for sure.

For holding in my hand I like big mean lookin super sharp bowies, not the fancy type.
For lookin at online, anything you guys make, from hawks to friction folders.
It amazes me the diversity of things the artisans can make with their hands and minds here!!!

Something with ~15 cm (5-6") fixed blade, full tang, pointy, sharp, non-reflective blade if possible. Something i can rely on if sh*t hits the fan and something that can open packages as well :D

Its got to be the knife I'm making at the time. No perticular style although there's always that one your just about to finish up thats got you darn excited. I remember that feeling when I first started and believe me I still get it now. I'm sure thats the reason I still enjoy it as much as a I do. There's alot of things on this earth that get you excited but after sometime your interest just petter's out. It was tuff taking the time making the shop but its to the point now where I can work on it or knives. Knives are my main focus now!

I'm a junkoholic. Cant pass a garbage pile without slowing down. That means yes. :)

I prefer anything with a Wharncliff style blade on it. I've found I can do just about anything I need with that one blade style. As a second choice the sheeps foot blade is also handy but the point of the Wharny makes it a splinter picker, defensive weapon, utilitiy knife and whittler all in the same blade.

You guys should know me by know, hunters :D Drop point 3 to 4 1/2 inch blade range. Semi-skinners of my design are really turning me on lately. I like 4 inch handle length on hunting knives and 4 1/2 to 5 inch handles on larger field knives. Basicly I like small fixed blades.
