Mine, so far, is CPM-M4 on my Gayle Bradley, followed by the D2 on my 710 and ELMAX on my 0566.

My all-around favorite is S35VN on my small Sebenza 21, that steel is just so well-rounded and easy to sharpen. Never been a big fan of the absurdly hard, high edge-retention steels.

So far I'm really liking cruwear in my military. Hard to choose a favorite though.

Stainless: CTS-XHP on my Manix 2 and ZDP-189 on my Dfly and Caly 3 CF.
Tool--CPM M4 on my Gayle Bradley.

D2 so far is my favorite steel though.

You always have great pics singularity35. I'd have to say D2 or M4 for folders on Benchmades. Favorite stainless for folder at moment is Cold Steel's Aus 8. Altough probably not considered a super steel it's still very good. For the price of S30V and 154cm I'm kinda disappointed with the steels for the price. D2 and M4 never let me down.

Stainless it's M390 or it's variant 20CV. Have that in two Hinderers and my Millie. Tool steel, M4 in my Millie. Big bruisers its 3V in my GSO 10 from Survive!

Thanks ulf, you're not too bad yourself. :D

M390 on my 586. Nobody should need more edge retention than that, plus it's not very difficult to sharpen with regular stones (I've never needed any diamonds or ceramic) . And to top it off, it's quite tough as well. Great all around steel
Oh and it's got 20% chromium so rust is a non issue

Edit: Vegasblade, m390 is equivalent to 204p. 20cv is comparable to s90v :)

M390 is my favorite. The Mule gets the most use in that steel and tells me all I need to know about its performance. The BM710-2 and the ZT0350M390 are limited editions, so don't get much carry (the ZT is a bit too wide, in pocket, for me to carry much, anyway). I do have a user BM710 in D2 that is a regular sidekick. BM480-1 in M390 is a light user, as well.
Still waiting on my pre-ordered Manix 2 is S110V to try out the steel, 'cause the Forum Native 5 in S110V also spends most of its time in the dark. Maybe the Manix will change my preference.

I'm loving CPM 3V for my outdoor knives.
I'm with Vegas Blade on this one, the GSO-10 rocks my world.
Also have a BRK Bravo Necker 2 in 3V and it's awesome.

Also... I took advantage of the S!K factory 2nds sale today, so I have another 4.5 inch slab of CPM-3V on it's way to me :)
Can't seem to get enough of this stuff

I respectfully disagree. Duratech 20CV is M390, is CTS 204p. Check your resources. They are all cousins from different makers. :)

Have not used anything with 9% V yet. Waiting on a custom from Big Chris in either A11, 10v or K390. For now ill say CPM-M4 on my Gayle Bradley and stainless has gotta be m390 on the 581.
