Howdy Y'all,

I know that some folks like to have different knives for different occasions. I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone's favorites are for traditional carry when you change out of the dungarees and into a suit, and trade in the large stockman for something a bit more refined.

I would also love to hear stories and recollections of what your dad, grandad, and anyone else carried back in the day.

I'll go first. Lately mine tends to be a Buck Gent, but I've been thinking of maybe picking up a peanut or a small penknife at some point.

Thanks!!!

So where are the pictures of yours:)

Here is my favorite "Sunday knife", a Joseph Rodgers and sons whittler

Mine is a nacre covered serpentine. It's a beautiful piece, even has my name on it.

:D

My daughter, who has a thing for rainbows, immediately claimed it when she saw how the material changed colors in the light. She's letting me hold on to it for a few years until she's old and responsible enough to take possession. When she does finally take it I have a mammoth ivory swayback to take its place.

I'm also a MOP fan, this one a 1993 Bulldog serpentine trapper.

Touché, good sir. All right, here it is. Nothing really special about it, but it gets the job done, and the blade is very useful for its size. The first one I had ended up with a lock failure after a few years. Sent it back to the Buck spa, and, in typical fashion, had a new one in my mailbox in a week or so.

My Sunday knives vary quite a bit, but my most frequent choice is probably my Davison :)

Interesting to see what everyone reserves for Sunday Meeting knives - I think I need a pearl handled knife - those are just perfect for such carry. These two jigged bone Case knives most frequently, and sometimes the regular EDC I'n carrying at the moment. The stag handled Case is my "Special Event" knife for weddings, funerals, anniversaries, retirement ceremonies, etc., so it fits here too. OH

The same Buck 505 Knight, silver with rivets, has been in my pocket just about every Sunday at church for a little over 30 years.
