I'm looking for suggestions for a new wallet. I only carry a wallet in my back pocket, so I'm not looking for a hard shell wallet.

Saddleback small bifold

If you need to carry more than 6 or 7 cards then you might want to look at the medium.

Plus they have a forum here which is nice.

I got a Maxpedition Spartan wallet for free with a backpack several years ago. I've used it daily, been submerged in water wearing it, etc. and it still looks brand new. I guess I'm not surprised as it's made from the same tough stuff their backpacks are.

I'm about to buy a spare just to have one if this one ever does wear out, they sell for $17.

For me, leather goods are all about the leather itself. And IMO, nobody does leather in the US like Horween.

I use an Ashland Leather "Johnny the Fox" wallet in color 8 shell cordovan with maroon thread.

Ashland is made up of a small group of Horween tannery workers who stitch wallets together in their spare time. They have the best selection of materials at their disposal, the workmanship is incredible and they have every color imaginable.

If you don't want to spend a lot, check out their chromexcel cowhide pieces. Chromexcel is a fantastic, long wearing leather that will patina beautifully. I have boots made out of it.

Good luck!

Whatever wallet I can afford, I have one from our store, nothing too fancy to get out my camera :(

I have to say, there is some good looking wallets you guys have.

Here is another one I have it's probably 10 years old now. They get better with age .

Coach and Tumi, I care less about the brand vs the style though. I like these slim wallets with money clip...

My favourite is the one I made myself out of whiskey shell cordovan :)

That Ashland "Johnny the Fox" is really impressive! Out of curiosity, did you look at their "Tony the Ant" wallet? Also, I carry my wallet in my front left pocket--it looks like the JtF would work in the front pocket, if I don't fill it up too much, but I'm curious if you would agee? Thanks!

I would go with Horween as well I just made two different wallets out of Dublin Horween. One is a minimalist and the other is a mid size wallet. The mid has an Herman oak natural interior. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1424829088.135234.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1424829096.792854.jpg

Or you can always have a fully tooled leather wallet. And have a custom design put on it.

I live in Florida and got sick of my leather wallets getting damp all the time. I switched to a wallet made from high performance sail cloth material. It is way thinner, much lighter, tougher and impervious to water. And only $30 bucks from Flowfold. Highly highly recommended!!

Saddleback leather medium wallet for me. The leather is second to none.
