What is YOUR lanyard?

So I've been working with paracord recently and I've gotten curious. For those who do use lanyards on their knives, what do you prefer? I seem to swim against the current and prefer tip down, so lanyards don't do much for me.

I'm wondering things such as...

Bead(s) or no bead(s)?
Length?
Are you partial to a specific weave or stitch?
Where/when do you use them most (fixed blades, EDC, etc...)?
Color?
Material?

I'm curious to see what trends are out there. Thanks!

I put them on 'some' folders, but not all, and for no specific reason. I usually use soft leather lace rather than paracord, and braided as a 4-cord braid so that it is thin and round. They are about 3"-4" long, and I usually use a Turkshead knot tied in round leather lace as a end piece. Most look like this one...

Most of my outdoor fixed blades have simple loop lanyards for chopping.

A simple black noose style paracord lanyard goes on my smaller knives.

I've made a couple for my brother's deep carry knives. He really seems to like the convenience. His aren't anything special, just twist cobra stitch made from gutted 550 cord. I'm now working on embellishing them a bit more with multiple different colors or beads. Thanks for the responses.

I have about 5 feet of paracord tied in a sinnet (so that it can easily be undone and used if needed) on my SAK.

I tend to lean toward the snake knot, or the DNA strand, I like both because they're rounder and thinner, less in my pocket but enough to pull the knife out:

I also like this Turkshead for my heavier knife, just adds alot of grip:

Sorry I don't have clear shots of just the lanyards.
