Here's mine, a mammoth ivory dogleg jack by Rick Menefee. I picked this up from a purveyor about five years ago. She gets used all the time, but doesn't seem to show any wear, in part probably because I carry it in a custom leather belt sheath made by Al Dodge (who goes by PocketKnives4Sale).

What about yours?

Love that Menefee, Chris.

I've got a few that cycle through my pocket, but this Small Rounder from Jerry Halfrich is there more often then the others. At 3 5/8" with a CPM-154 blade it can handle most of what I come across day to day.

2016 John Lloyd Dogleg Jack, handled in 1950s vintage micarta:

This knife has handled everything I've thrown at it.

Lloyd Swayback Wharncliffe in Mammoth. Great little knife that has some fit issues, but nothing that hinders usability, and for the extremely low price I got it for, I'm not worried. I own a few Lloyds, and even an upgraded Mammoth Wharncliffe swayback, but this one keeps showing up in pocket! The Zebra knife is my daughters, so is in my pocket most days that she is its me- the kids pick my carry knives each morning, and the zebra knife has a brother in uncracked mammoth ivory that my son is getting for his birthday this year. Zebra is only the name she gave it, not the handle material 😉

Thanks for this thread, I'm soon maybe going to he able to afford a new custom and was looking for this topic, thank you!

Quick question about the OP's knife, wouldn't it qualify as an Eureka instead of dogleg? Beautiful regardless!

Since you said traditional I'm going to assume that fixed blades are good to go. One of my GEC's gets the lion's share of pocket carry, but this puukko is my favorite belt knife and stays in my pack so that it'll always be with me on my outdoor adventures.

I've said it many times on the forum....without a doubt it's "Lizard Skin".

Hands down this Ken Coats EO. I have a couple others but this one has seen the most usage by far.

My most carried EDC has been this JD Ellis small Lanny's Clip. It's actually not even my favorite knife, but it carries so well that I pick it more often than my others. It's super light, but very capable and the thinly ground RWL-34 blade is a scalpel.

Although my newest Davison will soon surpass it for most pocket time, just haven't had it long enough yet.

For work, this Andrew Riley 'Big Gun Jack' has earned its keep more often than any other custom. Not afraid to get it covered in paint, glue or sweat. Always cleans up pretty good, and at 5" closed, it can handle anything.

Honestly, I am not really sure what would make it qualify as one versus the other. IIRC, I am going by how it was originally listed for sale. That said, in my little spreadsheet of knives, I call it a Eureka Jack. Hmmm, well, if anyone here can answer this question, please don't worry about thread drift. I am always learning here. :)

Awesome showing of beautiful knives here. Keep them coming, folks!

I carry this Lloyd far more often than any other custom. It's covers are vintage Micarta, the blade is 52100 that takes a wicked sharp edge!

This Dunlap shadow WT, 3" closed CPM -154. Been in my pocket everyday this past year.

My Ken Erickson "EDC" has been my only pocket knife for the last three years:

My Davison spear point, paper micarta, acid etched blade.

Todd made the snap on it a little stronger, and it's just perfect for me.:)

Wonderful knives folks.
Personally, I wouldn't hesitate to call the OP knife a eureka jack :)
As for myself, this Oeser is my only custom slipjoint so far, so it's inevitably the most carried one.
It is, also, my most carried knife (custom or production) overall.
I need to take new pictures though

Mine would be a Halfrich Baby Rounder, only 3.1" closed. About a 1/2" smaller than Gary's Rounder. The Rounder's in all sizes are an excellent pattern for general use.

It's been dropped and scuffed up, why own a knife you aren't going to carry and use?

Was my only custom.

One of a kind, custom made for me, J. Oeser XL Gunstock. Only one in the world.

I sold it in a weak moment, while closing on my house. I was feeling very stressed about extra costs, etc. We were pretty strapped, and I sold it without telling my wife I was doing it. She immediately said I was crazy, and would regret selling it. I had other knives I could have sold that I would have not have regretted, but knew that particular knife would sell extremely fast.

I was not comfortable with how tight money was right then. Christmas for the kids, closing on a house, adopting a dog from a family member. Finishing the fence to keep the dog in the back yard.

I'll have to have him make me another some time.

One of Jared's original photo's.

It aged beautifully, and got carried a lot.

Some beautiful knives showcased here. And knives are most certainly meant to be used.
Here's my most carried and used. This was actually the exact knife that sparked my interest into customs/the first one I ever wanted.
By the time I contacted the seller, it had been sold.
By a stroke of luck, I contacted the current owner and now near 2 years later it's been in my rotation.

Bret Dowell Lanny Clip. The full handle lends itself to ergonomics and feeling wonderful in hand.
