five years ago my father passed down his fathers 1918 WWI army infantry bayonet, his father served in world war II in the Philippines and died of tuberculosis there. My father was only 5 when his dad died. This bayonet was my fathers only material memory of his dad. When he gave it to me he shed tears, hes the toughest guy i know and i've never seen him cry other than that. This bayonet has meaning to me because it has meaning to my father, what a moment i shared with him when he gave it to me. What is your most meaningful knife?

When I was twelve, in 1982 or so, I saved up my money over a couple of months and bought myself my first real knife, a Victorinox Huntsman. It was a big deal because we were pretty poor and it took some doing for me to scrape up the $25 bucks. It was my edc until I was about thirty, and I used it hard.

It is mostly retired now, but I still use it from time to time.

Im not sure where to introduce myself, ive been lurking for a few months now. So, Hi! Anyhow, my most meaningful knife is a little CRKT Crawford Casper, its not much, but it was the first thing my girlfriend of 4 years ever bought me.

I have two I will always have.
Had my avatar knife made when my mother passed three years ago, and had her birth, and death date's stamped in one of the liners.
The other, my Dads Case Trapper I got when he passed 24 years ago.

My Chokwe means a lot because it was from my mom. I have a few from her, but that one was one I was after for a long time. And she got it for me. =]

This Boker Scout that belonged to my Grandfather.

A Buck 110 by grandfather bought me shortly after it was introduced in 1964. It was my first knife and I still have it.

My grandfather's hunting knife. It's old, rough around the edges, and nowhere near the quality of my Busse's, Spyderco's, etc so it doesn't get a lot of carry time but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Knowing a man I respect so much carried it for so many years makes it priceless.

A knock around fixed blade my grandfather gave me recently. The other two I actually purchased myself for keeping an A average in my current program of study (cardiovascular technology); a little reminder of accomplishing a goal I guess.
