Have you guys seen this bad boy? It is awesome. It is built like a tank for only $76 shipped. Has anyone taken it out and tried it in the woods? What was it like? Any one breach a door with it? Just wondering.

I have no experience with it, I even had to google to find out what it was.

Generally speaking:

Full tank 'hawk-like-objects are too heavy for my taste. This one is 2lb 11oz according to the specs I found. Quite heavy, IMO.

S&W knives are usually pretty junky and almost always knock-offs of others designs (this one look remarkably similar Killian designed Benchmade 'hawk-like-object and possibly others if I were to look further)

Specifically:

Is 1070 a good steel for an axe? I don't know, but it could be I guess

Made in Taiwan, so are Cold Steel's hawk heads, of which I am a fan for the price... it is what it is

Kraton handle; I'm not a fan.

Not much help, I know. Those are my feelings though and I hope you gained something from them.

Too heavy and too clumsy for my taste. A decent fire fighter hatchet is cheaper and probably more useful. Unless I needed to chop a lot of sheet metal, I'd steer clear of that thing.
