I am modding up a Cold Steel Perfect Balance Thrower. Got bored and that is the only blade I am willing to alter.
You guys?

I assume you mean modding jobs, not working in progress, I've got a Delica that I'm working on, my kershaw groove is an ongoing job, my bk11 hasn't seen the end of modding for years , and my bk9 is going to get started in a couple days.

What are you doing to it?

First step is taking of that black-crud that CS insists on putting on most of their blades. Gonna polish it up after that. Think I will wrap the handle after that, so that it can be used for things other then throwing. Then comes a sheath! Any suggestions after that?

I am playing around with my Mantis Kunitza. Turned the opening hole into a wave feature, then took the bead blasted blade and applied black and parkerizing grey Alumahyde to it for a three tone finish. I will probably next sand down the G10 from under the pocket clip and do a nutnfancy style JB weld treatment to it.

Just installed a lowrider clip on my spyderco Gayle Bradley last night, it needed to be dremeled to fit, so I went the extra mile and mirror polished it too.

Also made an OD green micarta southard scale a month or so ago. I'm planning on making some lime green g10 scales for my dlc manix2 now to give it that "zombie black and green" look.

I also have a few anodizing projects I got lined up for knives I'm getting soon

I've been toying with making one of my Mora classics into a Wharncliff - grind the spine into the cutting edge and turn the existing edge into a false edge. The tip would be very fragile, otherwise it should be a pretty wicked set-up. I have a lot of appreciation for the stock blade though, I might never go through with it.

I have been working on my SwampRat Rodent 9 for quite some time. Thinning the entire blade to a thin edge, getting rid of the black coating. It's a tough job with my HF 1 inch belt sander but getting there eventually. It's going to be more a slicer/stabber/light chopper (branches and such) rather than a beater though. Can post some pictures when done.
