In case some of you were wondering what happened to me. The picture below pretty much sums it up. Yes the carpet is next to go. It's knife related because there is a Commander somewhere in the room where I can't find

Well, me too. But, I would be embarassed to post pics!

Sorry about the size of the pics. I haven't figured out how to use the new Photopoint system.
The picture below is actually the first room which we did. We had to strip all of the wall paper, then the glue, spackle, then prime, then paint, etc.

Marble...hum, maybe in the entrance way??? I have stone tiles there now.

I've lost that darn Commander so many times that I've lost count. I almost threw it out with a roll of carpet once. Lucky it fell out of the carpet in my driveway.

Good for you, David! My wife and I are doing some major enhancements to our ranch, so I absolutely understand your sense of pride and accomplishment. Major renovation is certainly an all encompassing task, but the personal reward is perhaps the greatest of all. There's no place like home.

David,

This is definitely MTV "CRIBS" material you've got here!

I will post my place once the boxes are out. By the looks of it, my apartment can fit in your office. I love NY!

Nice office there David, I like your taste in decor. Anyone else notice the knife images in the back? Is that one a '6??

I think I'm sitting in that exact chair. Wow, I'd better not let my wife see these pics.
Beautifully done. I'm sitting here looking at 100% white walls and ceilings. You've given me some ideas.
Marlboro reds, huh? "Cowboy Killers" we used to call 'em. Darn tasty.

Thanks guys.
Eric, I remember you were putting in that camera system. How is that working out.

Ark, your apartment may be a little smaller, but going by your address, it probably costs three times as much as my place. You city slicker you

Joe, Yup, those are images of knives in the background. Good eye.

ptpalpha, those are cowboy killers all right. They're my only bad habit

I've been trying to change over to these.

Where's tattoo. I know he's got a thing for cigars

Again, knife content of this post, you need a knife to cut off the ends of these

David:

I'm thinking you should have kept that big old Marlin you were threatening to send me. You could have put it on the wall in your Den and it would have looked like the fish is jumping right up out of the ocean with those Blue walls!

Sniper,

I still think that the fish would have looked great next to that mounted deer you have hanging on the wall.

Glad to see everything going well for you.
Great selection of cigars there, man down to 6 in the humidor. Gotta place an order with JR for some more macanudos and fuentes.
I bet the house is awesome, hope to see you back here more often.

David,

I may be a city slicker with my Manhattan apartment but you have a dedicated home office. I am green with envy!

BTW my father-in-law is a former malborro man who has been a cigar freak since he quit cigarettes back in the eighties. He smokes a cigar first thing in the morning (makes me green but not of envy!) and continues through the day.

I'd say at the rate he's smoked cigars without any serious health issues cigars have got to be safer than the old coffin nails.

He's a serious "Cuban" man.
