I have never done Magnacut before and I have never used foil; But, this was unexpected, to say the least!

2200F for 7 minutes.
Big plates with compressed air to small plates, then clamped and dunked into water and then 2hrs in LN2.

They came out of the foil with the colors.
Three did and one is just dark.

This is very similar to how I have done AEBL with anti scale compound.

The coloring is not showing up that well.

Lots of blues and orange and a little red

Usually I have a light gray color and some cool colors mixed in. I agree the darker blades look like the packets weren’t sealed very well. Maybe sure to double fold all the edges for a good seal.
 
Double fold the foil and tap each fold down flat with a rubber mallet. This assures a tight seal.
It is normal to get colors and even dark places on blades done in foil. It disappears in post-HT grinding.
