What kind of bag for BOB

I am finally going to put together a bail-out-bag. It will be geared toward natural disasters, and should be suitable for rural and city use. It will need to be about 1500-2000 cubic inches, and will hold about 20 lbs of gear.

I am wondering what kind of bag to use. I am thinking about three options now: day-use backpack, duffel bag, tool bag.

Any thoughts? What do you have your gear in?

I have been investigating BOBs myself. My vote is for the day-pack. I want one with either a pocket for a water bladder like the camel backs or one that holds water bottles on the side.

My BOB is in a Jansport backpack. Probably half the students around here carry Jansport backpacks, and many like the one I have (I picked it up at Costco). I am sure no one would give it a second thought.

Urban camo.

They sell the Snugpack Rocket Pack through Brigade Quartermasters as well. Too bad I have 4 packs already because I want one!

I can second both the Jansport, for urban camo, and hte rocket pack, for it's great design. if you don't need to be inconspicous, go with the rocket pack. If you need the camo, get a "student" pack, and fill it up with something other than text books. Another option is a black assault pack, like the Spec Ops T.H.E. Pack. Excellent, with tons of pouches that can be added, and a huge amount of great internal features.
