I came here in hopes you all could help me Identify this blade. My grandfather recently passed. We were going threw his things and he had this hidden away in the back of a cupboard. I have no idea what it is or how old it is. So figured i would take some pictures and ask the internet. it has a Wood sheath with what seems like brass rings around it and its topped with leather around were the blade goes in. In the wood is carved 4 flowers. the Blade itself has a real heavy brass handle on it i cant tell what the blade is made of but it has weird slash & X markings on top of the blade and the front top of the blade is serrated.. Any light shed on this would be greatly appreciated Thank You..
