What Kind Of Buck Is This

I have a BUCK 110 that I need help with. I would be interested in any information that someone such as a collector might have as far as age, value, etc.

First off I have a BUCK 110 folder with integral brass bolster and liner and the spacer on the rear bolster is also integrated. It has one pin in the handle, which goes all the way through the back spring. The tang is marked upside down with the words “BUCK u.s.a.". The brass fixtures however look to have been "gold" plated at one time. About 60% of the gold plate is still visible on the bolsters, and it doesn't or hasn't tarnished or stained like the brass seems to do.

The leather belt sheath with the BUCK logo stamped in it is in very good condition also. I bought the BUCK-folding knife at the swap meet in Santee, California. I bought a number of different and unusual BUCK knives from the guy who had them for sale at the swap meet. The swap meet is only about two miles from the old BUCK plant there in Santee. One had two blades in it one on each end like a trapper model (?), and one that was or had a "canoe" pattern handle. I also bought a number of assorted BUCK folders with different stamps etc. This is the only one that I have kept due to the size of the knife. The knife is very thin and slender like the old Kershaw-Gamewarden folders if anyone remembers this knife. I have never seen another BUCK folder that looks like this knife.

The guy that sold them to me said they were prototypes (?) Yeah, protoHYPES would have been more like it. However I can't grip seeing as I sold the canoe shaped folder for many dollars over what I paid for the whole lot years ago.

This is the only one of these folders that I still have and would appreciate any information please.
Thanks

The knife is 1/2 inch thick. Folded length is 4-7/8 inches. OAL opened is 8-9/16 inches.

I do not know how this compares to the size of a regular or standard BUCK 110.

Thanks for the note.
Newt

Sorry I had to edit the numbers in the length.

Ok, thats the standard size.

It sounds like the unique thing about this knife is the bolsters and maybe the material of the inserts in the handle. Also my new 110 has three small pins just for the inserts, and the one that connects the back spring.

You would not happen to be able to take any pictures of it would you?
