Hi all, I posted this over in the 110 area too as I was thinking this is a 110 but I'm not sure. I remember camping with my dad in the 1970s and using it.

Any ideas?

thanks for the note. Any guess on what year you think it was made? This one is well loved (worn) but still serviceable. I put a nice edge on it. Are the earlier ones any more valuable?

Looks like 1967; 3rd Version, 1st Variation. See the "Sticky" above by Joe Houser, titled "revised 110/112 Data Sheet"

1967 was the only year Buck used a asterisk/dot by the 'K' on Buck . Then it was not for a years time as the 2 liners came along . DM

I didn't even notice the asterik dot near the top of K. Easy to miss. I'm glad to post an example for you all to see. So this knife was made 2 years after I was born (dad was in Vietnam when I was born in Okinawa in 1965). :-)

Here is a picture of the sheath that I remember it always had.

From the look of that well worn knife and sheath, if knives could talk, I'm sure that one would have quite a story to tell! Thanks for the picture:thumbup:

I sure we have some camping pictures from the 70s that I can post with the knife and sheath. Let me go look in the archives.

Here is my Dad with that Buck 110 1967 ver3 var1 on his belt. We would go up to Canada fishing when he was on leave from the Army. I'm guessing that pic was early to mid 1970s.

He was in the the 1st Special Forces Group and the 1st of the 9th Air Cav. There is a link below if you are interested.
