what kind of folder blade is this?

I make lockback knives mostly, (fairly new at the trade) and found this in a box of junk at a yard sale. It doesn't look like the lockback blades because there's no bottom notch on the back, but there's a little clip out of the round thing at the front. Is this a liner lock blade? Or push-button? TIA

The square hole is interesting too. Maybe ask in the scrade collector’s forum

It might be one of those easily swappable blades that get sold by several hunting brands, I'm pretty sure I've seen a Schrade version before. If anything it's probably a slipjoint rather than a locking blade.

Schrade CH4 = Clip Hanger 4. It was one of their moderately successful linerlocks from the late 90's - mid 2000's. The blade was from their going out of business sale. SMKW and others sold off the surplus as project stock.

Edit - It had a spring, plus the (rather light) linerlock, so that's the reason for the spring notch.

Looks like the Schrade CH4 was just an inexpensive, conventional slip-joint knife from the looks of it. Unfinished ones are cheap:

Oops, a linerlock.
