Got my Homelite ST-275 running pretty well but the line it came with is almost exausted. ereplacement parts website list this model as taking .080 inch string. I think the current line did ok for the amount of stuff I had to cut but I want something with more bite for the really thick grass. And don't even get me started on the weeds. Blackberry shoots are coming up too but I don't think 0.080 line will handle them. I wish I had the manual so I knew what the max diameter of line I could use is. But for now I think I will stick to the 0.080" string. I think I have three to four options locally, listed in no particular order: Husqvarna Titanium Force line, Arnold Extreme, Arnold Maxiedge, and Shakespeare Ugly line.

EDIT: One more thought, has anybody tried those replacement heads with the plastic blades?

I used to sell Homelites. you can try to step up to .090 etc if you are willing to spend the time it takes to spool the thicker stuff on the .080 string head. I don't remember anything about being designed to take thicker wire though. Im pretty sure its just designed for .080 only. As for your .080 options get the Husqvarna stuff it is just higher quality than Arnold period. The replacement heads work well just have some patience with them at first and get the feel for working them for a few minutes at first etc. I stay away from plastic blades period they may work at first but usually don't work for long

Thanks for the reply. Honestly, I have been tempted to try and find one of the heads that you can push a piece of replacement line into. Would you do a replacement I have too many rocks on my property to make plastic blades worth it, if the blades are fragile but I thought I would ask.
