Anyone know what Brad uses in this movie?

I honestly have a hard time telling one knife from another. Stag handle, brass bolster/collar, narrow blade, it could've easily been a prop knife designed specifically for the movie, or any one of a hundred generic knives made in Pakistan.

Confusingly it looked like it had a pivot pin. It could've been a dressed up Opinel.

Or custom made....

"In December, 2005, when Brad Pitt was in Calgary for the shooting of the movie, "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" (which was released in October, 2007), we were pleased to receive a call from him requesting me to bring in any knives I had available."

Ask in the traditional sub forum, Jill. I don't recognize it, but someone might.

Or you might have found it while I was writing.

Two knives were used in that scene, the first with a unused or slightly used blade, circular "hole" at the pivot.

The second looks to be nearly used up and has what appears to be 3 pins through the pivot, the narrower blade profile is what makes it stick into the table so well, also probably neatly rounded off edge to provide a surface that won't cut if the actor loses his grip.

I have no idea what knife, though the brass and the shape of the handle look nothing like an Opinel.
