Did anybody recognize the folder knife used by Jennifer Gardner in "The Kingdom"? If you haven't seen the movie, I recommend it. And while you're watching, pay close attention to her knife and report back to us!

I haven't seen the movie yet. I'll make sure I pay close attention when I do. I like your User ID. Go Sawx!

I'm a native Bostonian and moved to Florida 18 months ago. I'm a loyal Sox and Pats fan. In fact, I'm wearing my (very old, faded, and priceless) Bosto Red Sox hat now.

I just saw it and it would be hard to identify without being able to pause the movie because of all the camera jitter they added in the action scenes.

here are some screenshots

anyone knows?

Just curious, by "re-orientation" do mean when she closed it and put it away? I've just never heard the phrase.

Thanks,
Jon

I think she sort of flipped it in the air after she opened it and before she stabbed the guy.

What do people think of this knife?

I tried searching and couldn't find any posts about it.

She opened it then changed from a hammer to a reverse grip...after getting the snot beat out of her and being scared sh!tless...not that likely IMHO

The knife always seemed OK to me (never held one FYI) but the poor reputation S&W has kept me from putting $30 down.

There is nothing WRONG with them per say... its just that they are not all that great. I would put the Smith and Wesson folder i had on par with department store Gerbers like the AR-7.

edge retention isnt so hot, but its locks up fairly well with no blade play. Is it worth $30? Sure, but id much rather have Spyderco Dodo or Yojimbo than 3 S&W folders.

Thanks for the + words as I'm going to see it later. I've actually been looking forward to this one. I'd watch ANY movie done or produced with Michael Mann!

Really want to see the movie....and maybe I'm the only one crazy enough here, but I love my S&W folder....There are not many knives I would trade it for. Locks up well, sharpens well, and doesn't dull all that fast. Would love to have an auto, but can't get one
