So I remember buying this knife years ago. I cannot find however who the maker is of this knife. I have always been a fan of knives but must honestly say most of them have just been cheapies.

This one appears to be a Columbia River Knife and Tool. But I cannot find it on there website.

Anyway if someone out there may know please help.

That my good sir is the First Production run of the Michael Walker CRKT BladeLock II.

PS. Its Discontinued, that's why its not on their site.

Michael Walker is also the inventor of the Walker Linerlock. The man has contributed a lot of interesting mechanisms and styles to the industry as a whole. He was inducted into the Blade Magazine Cutlery Hall of Fame in 2004 (very deserving).

Well I must say that as much as I like the look of the knife I do not ever really carry it. Is this something that I should look to put in a case of some sort?

Sorry I put it in the wrong spot.

CRKT has always had some interesting designs. I don't believe that the knife has any intrinsic value beyond it's depreciated retail, so it is a toss-up. Personally, I would keep it as a point of interest in your collection.

I have the same knife with a combo edge. It was my first "real" knife (apart from SAK). As time went by I became irritated by the edge holding and bought a Delica. Must say that I still think that the lock is interesting.
