What kind of knot is this?

Hi All...

Quick question for you guys... I'm a total knot geek, so when I see a knot that I like I HAVE TO learn how to tie it. Could anyone tell me what kind of knot/braid is at the end of this knife?

its really easy to tie! I will take some pics of tying one and upload the pics in a few

I remember tying a few of those back in Cub Scouts out of that plastic cord.
 
Start off with some paracord, or twine, or plastic or string, whatever you got. Cut 2 pieces, the difference is going to be how big your loop is, ~ a 5" difference is pretty good.

now hold the ends of both pieces of the paracord and push your bead down to the shorter one.

now youre ready to start, I started going clockwise.

Take your paracord and loosely put it over the next strand in the clockwise direction. When youre back to where you started go under that strand and tighten it down.

Next you are going to do the same thing in the opposite direction, so going ccw

aaaaaaaaaaand so on til youre ready..

To finish like the picture shown trim off the excess paracord when you get to the right length.

Then you burn the ends with a lighter, or you can leave them untrimmed and finish with a knot.
