It does look like the 510 but the hilt looks larger. Is the blade coated on top? Never seen that before on a Mora anyway.

Its an Erickson. Ragnar sells em.

Eriksson 545. The photo shows a blue handle, but the description states a red handle with a hint of a guard.

The knife in the bottom photo is in fact an Eriksson model 510

However the knife in the Top photo is in fact a $1.99 Mora Knockoff made in China.

I picked this knife up at a surplus store here in Canada for a mere $1.99 Pasos. I knew the knife was a fake when I looked at it closer through the packaging.. The sheath, as is the knife a Very well duplicated copy of a Swedish made Mora.

I recently seen one ,actually the identical knife in a store for $15.00

Incredible what these people can copy when they want to...

I had a knockoff Buck Nighthawk in for sheathing, I wish I would have taken a picture of. Near Identical to the original Buck , however the inlaid rubber was slightly softer and just a bit different texture. The knife could have fooled some people if it were slipped into a Nighthawk box.

Thanks for Playing

Well, they did get one thing on the money when they made the knockoff. Like most typical Mora knives, the handle looks like it came off of a cheap, Chinese made, kid's toy.

looks kinda like my 510 :o because of the weird gaurd

my 510 is really a 511, I didn't like the guard so I trimmed it down :D

I guess they knew a good design when they saw it :) The handle molding really threw me. I wasn't thinking about knock offs-- unless I was in a $1 store or something.

$1.99 --- so more like $0.25 or $0.50 down the distribution channel. That's cheap!

Normark, I'm curious to hear how it performs. Is the blade laminated?

ISTR a Frosts Mora-looking knife on the budk website, but was significantly cheaper (about $3) than those available elsewhere. I was curious at the time about the possibility of being a knockoff. It's difficult to tell, since Mora knives sometimes turn up with other names on occasion, such as Normark.

hahaha its a kje510, i usually grind down my 511s to 510s, i cant believe you got a chinese copy, you know the 510 is the most inexpensive knive you can possbly buy thats still "a knife" its very very cheap for what you get, i dont think that chinese copy will have good steel, sure it looks like a mora but its a chora.. cant believe anyone makes copys of moras, its cheap as it is, even in the US. yeah well to the chinese: way to go! youre just 200-500 years late.... suck on that. :)

btw it has a microbevel you should have spotted it right away.. :) and the grind is too high for a mora, i acually spotted the incorrect blade 9in the first pic, its too small, to narrow kinda, the proportions doesnt add up you know
