What kind of pack does your (female) partner use?

I'm curious to know sort of pack your girlfriend/wife/daughter uses while out and about in the woods with you?

Any particular choice for a day long trek vs. a multi-day hike?

That's easy, the one on my back. LOL, mine usually only carries her knife (a modded Ontario Pilot knife) and a canteen/nalgene when we go out. I am slowly weening her to her own pack, but hey, being the pack mule has it benefits, we use a double hammock. :thumbup::D Moose
 
Oh and post some pics of her wearing the pack from the back.

So we can, ummm, see how it fits and all, mmm, yeah. :D
 
Most often I have the Condor 2 by Maxpedition.

My wife likes the Jumbo S-Type Versipack, but most often has the Kodiak GearSlinger also by Maxpedition.

My wife uses an Osprey Ariel 65 liter for backpacking and has an older 50 liter model for when we use to go rock climbing/dayhikes.

my wife is currently using a MountainSmith Treklite- she's used it for 2-3 day trips up to 7 day trips- it's a woman's specific model and fits her nicely

I tried to get her into a Osprey Exos pack (pack I'm currently using) but the fit wasn't good- didn't help that torso size and hip belt size were in lock step w/ no ability to swap belts
 
Mountainsmith. she has one designed for women. Can't remember the model. SHe's had it 10+ years w/ no troubles. Day pack is whatever we have around.
 
For camping she wears a Gregory Jade 60. We tried on packs for an hour before she selected that one. She's never complained about one thing with it and has carried 35# in it.

For day hikes I wear an old, smaller Kelty and she usually doesn't wear a pack.
 
Deuter ACT lite 60+10. She loves it, it is the most comfortable pack she's ever worn. So much so, I got the male version and couldn't be happier.

I remember trying on a lot of rucks before deciding on one for multi-day hikes. While they are all adjustable to some extend, the one I got, really fit me best. And the dealer was kind enough to fill the rucks with some heavy stuff for me, so I could try them in a realistic configuration. Took time, but was well worth it.
 
That would be a louis vuitton, or on the rare occassion she joins me on a hike she will just throw a bunch of stuff in my pack..
 
My wife uses a several different bags by Coach, Dooney & Burke and other quality makers.

She does not take these camping.................. :D
 
Hi Sufler,

I think I read in the subtext, that you are looking to buy a pack for her?

My recommendation is: check out a shop that has lots of gear, it is very important that the pack model fits the size of her back. My partner was looking for some packs on the net but when she tried them on in a shop (loaded with content) non of them had a good fit. In the end she decided for a jack wolfskin pack which didn´t look so hip but did the job best.
