I just wondered, does GEC use parchment paper or brown wax paper or what? I have a couple of knives that the wax paper has just gotten torn up or ripped and I'd like to get some replacement paper. Any idea what it is? I love the stuff.

David, it is a paper impregnated with an antirust material...….. It is available at firms that sell shipping/packing supplies...….. The problem is that minimum sell qtys are enough to last the average Joe 87 lifetimes...…...

I have a few wax papers that are very wrinkly or torn and came that way.

Would be nice if GEC would sell us 10 papers for 10 bucks?

I'd buy a handful if I could...…. It would be nice if you could buy 50 - 100 sheets for a reasonable amount...…..

One of GEC's dealers sells them in packs of 25. I don't believe they're a BladeForums supporting dealer so no names here but a quick search will find them or send me a message.

The paper that GEC uses is NOT treated with emitting chemicals. It is waxed both sides.
It's commercially available in 18 inch by 1500 foot rolls!! Enough for a lifetime probably!!:D

I bought the lil squares of the paper from TSA knives I think it was. I have gotten knives new where the paper has a hole in it in the corner and second hand all wrinkled up I don't know what they did too it look like they crumpled it up over and over??

Others may mention too that dealers should not be mentioned. You can PM someone with the info though.
