What kind of resin do I use to make homeade micarta?

Hey guys, I was going to try to make my own micarta but I don't know what kind of resin to use. Can I Buy it at my local hardware store? Any tips on making micarta? It will be my first time making it. Thanks!
 
I did the first couple out of polyester fiberglass resin but didn't like the waste when I didn't get the mixture exactly right. The I switched to a Bar top coating resin called "Envirotex" and have done most of the rest with that. I did just switch resins to a marine epoxy resin, Everfix I think is the brand. Yes, any home center or auto part store.
