What kind of steel did Bill Bagwell normally use?

Thanks for checking out my thread. I have a for sale thread of an original Bill Bagwell dagger. I have had numerous questions about what kind of steel was used on this knife. Unfortunately I have no idea. I would really appreciate it if some of you more experienced collectors could help me out with this one.

for carbon steel he used to use 5160.
