I got a sar 6 that I did not want to use. I thrashed it anyway :) (after I asked how good of a chopper it was.)
Anyway, I got it months ago from steel addiction. Very expensive but very worth it.
What kind of wood scales are these?

I also found the same picture of it on Arizona custom knives. So I guess steel addiction got it second hand. On Arizona knives it says it is Ebony Wood Scales

By the way, you will not believe how nice the handle feels in the hand. The handle is actually 3d but the picture does not show.

Looks like what is called the G-rex style scales. Bolster and bottom layer would be the ebony, top layer lloks like maybe spalted maple.

The front looks like ebony. The light wood could be any one of several.
Is it all one piece? Not sure if ebony wood has any light patches like that in it but it could have.
