What kind of wood is this handle?

Wondering if anyone can identify the type wood used for this handle, thanks.

That looks like Dymondwood, or its successor. If so the laminates are probably stained birch.

I have a 120 from the factory, I'll dig out the box sometime nxt wk. In the meantime do a google search for "Buck cocobola".
Now that's not to say they didn't mean "cocobola" color, but it was sold as cocobola dymondwood.

It is dyed and impregnated birch plywood. Cocobola is the color.
