What kind of wood?

So i bought a whole bunch of stuff from this guy, in all that stuff was a few handle scales. I decided i would use one to make a knife with, the handle turned out looking really nice and i was wondering if anybody could tell me what kind of wood it is.

Reminds me of Osage orange, but that's just a guess.

Russ Andrews opinion is as good as gold.

I wouldn't buy a knife with this material as a handle....it is very plain and boring from a visual perspective.
