:thumbup: with me today it was my Leatherman wave--my family for years has met for thanksgiving at a park in sw phoenix--today no one brought a knife for opening packages of food--no one brought a can opener--needed some water but no handle on the water spiket--Leatherman to the rescue-used it to pull a dropped fork out of the grill--Leatherman saved the day--:thumbup:

My UKPK didn't "save the day" but it did open a box of pastries faster than anyone would have thought. It beats getting up to go to the kitchen for a knife. :P

I used both my S&W MP2 and a Brazilian cooking knife for the turkey. The Brazilian carved for the family, and the S&W sliced some off for myself while it was cookin. Since it's an AO I was able to do it pretty quick so no one would notice. :p

EDIT: Guess I should be clear, the S&W is with me today... Don't think work would be too happy if I showed up with my big cooking knife on my belt. :D

Mine didn't open any food packages or carve any turkey. I had a LB7 Bearpaw that I'd been keeping around. Well, I gave it to my son (along with it's original sheath). He needed a decent hunting knife. He was quite happy to say the least. :thumbup:Dale

One of the wife's uncles, a sheriff, really got a kick out of our autos.

I had two in my pocket for the holiday;
an early Schrade Walden serpentine jack with a really nice Turkish clip, swedged blade. I love carrying this knife. And a Johnny Stout/ Darryl Ralph collaboration folder they did for the now defunct TKC-L list. The Stout/Ralph has stunning gold lip mother of pearl scales.

The big hit was the Bark River Mini Canadian. We actually talked about convex edges and grinds. No one had ever heard of them before.
