Do you have a knife that you just like more and more every time you use it? Or one that you just dont care for as much as when you first bought it?

I'd go with my Manix for the knife that I like more and more, and my Benchmade 530s for the one that just wasnt as great as I originally thought it was.

Now why don't you like the 530? It's been a knife that I've been looking at for a while, because it's so thin and light, to use as an EDC. I've only handled it a few times, and never cut anything, but what do you dislike about it?

I'd rather find out negative opinions beforehand, rather than buy one and form my own.....

As for knives that have grown on me... My mini grip just keeps being the choice knife for every cutting duty. When I first bought it, I liked it, but now I would never sell it. It's just a great hard user for me.

I still like my Camilus EDC and don't plan to get rid of it but my love for it peaked when I first handled it and wen't down from there.

The opposite has happenned to almost any Spyderco I've owned. Particularly the more I use them. Military, Calypso Jr and D'Allara Drop Point in particular.

Knive I've stayed neutral about are SAK's and my Manix

I like what many call a really ugly knife. It is the Spyderco Rescue 93mm. It has a ton of cutting edge and I like the sheepsfoot style blade. Handy around the house and garden. I rarely need a knive point unless I get a sliver and I have chipped off too many of the darn knife points. The rescue is beefy enough to handle a little torqueing.

The 3.625 inch serrated blade has the effective cutting edge of a 4.53 inch plain edge. It cuts very well.

I agree with Ming65 on the Camilus EDC, I really liked the looks of it at first, but it was a little small for my large hands, and I ended up selling it.

The one I like more and more every time I use it is a little three inch folder with rubber grips from Carolina Knife and Tool Co. My digital camera quit on me last week, so I had to go on the net to find a photo. This is the knife.

It cost less than four bucks at Wal-Mart and I carry/use it every day.

I like my Spyderco Centofante III more every time I use it. It's great because it's light, has a good grip, and the blade isn't some three-pound cold chisel. And it's not a skinny SAK type blade either.

Actually, there's one think I've grown to dislike on this same knife. The sharp hump over the hole is incredibly annoying. Catches on clothing, scratches your hand when you reach for something in your pocket. But I can't bring myself to grind it off and I love the knife, so I live with it.

Spyderco Endura. I love that knife, but for years was always turned off by the way it looked. Then I got one. Next to my BM710, it's my favorite large folder.

The knife that I dislike more and more when I think about it or see it... SOG Flash II. The handle was uncomfortable, the clip was flimsy and the blade was set too far back on the handle for my taste. I consider that to be my only knife buying mistake. Aside from the clip though, it is a very well made knife, just not for me.

I have a Ritter RSK (aka Griptilian) and, I liked it better and better as time passed. Today, it stands as one of my favorites. Its a pleasure to have in my pocket and, is straight forward in design and easy to use. And, the axis-lock rocks.

I also had the same experience as "Ming65" in that the "Military" and "D'Allara" just keep growing on me. I lov'em more every day. These particular knives are incredibly easy to operate and, useful across such a wide spectrum of applications. They strike me as being near the pinnacle of an all-purpose pocket knife.

I am not as thrilled with the Calypso Jr however. I guess its just a preference for larger knives maybe.

I didnt like it because i felt it wasnt strong enough for most jobs. Im not talking about the axis lock, just thinness and material of the handle made me feel like it wouldnt take much pressure for it to snap. I became hesitant to use it because i thought it was going to break. It did have a very solid lock up to it though. I am also VERY picky about knives. I only carry a Manix as my edc because its the only folder i trust as of now.

Gerber EZ OUT, just can't kill the thing. I started taking it to work so I could hand it to people who do stupid things with knives because I didn't care if it was damaged. But after all the abuse it just keeps coming back for more.
I have a love/hate relationship with some knives that cost me ten times as much.
Opinels, every time I use a carbon steel Opinel I am more amazed.
Emerson Specwar, wouldn't hold an edge to save it's life.

Camillus Heat...when I get bored at work its fun flicking that blade out with the kicker. Takes and holds a nice edge too.

The more I use my Helle felkniven, the more impressed I am with a sub $50.00 fixed blade. I can say the exact same thing for all my Moras as well.

I have two serrated folding knives (won't mention the brand here) adn I hate them. I just don't have much use for anything serrated.
