The knife you have is the sharpess? Mine benchmade rukus. Cut hair easy with know presure. so what knife? Mention steel involved on knife is requirment.

My sharpest knife, easily, is a Helle Symfoni in 12C27 stainless. Following closely and, on odd days, surpassing the Helle is my Bark River mini-Canadian, a convex grind in A-2. Next would have to be an Enzo Trapper in O-1...scandi ground.

My Rukus is one sharp knife, but it sits in a collectioan of very sharp knives. It is not the "genius" of the class.

Sharpest? I would have to give the nod to either my Case CV Peanut or CV Trapper, both of them sharpen up nicely. I cut myself with the Peanut almost to the bone and didn't feel it till I saw the blood.

My Kullervo 10 puukko from Kellam Knives is the sharpest. My Helle Jubileum puukko from Ragnar is about as sharp. I'm talking scary sharp.

William Henry B 15 with zdp 189.

Yesterday I had to cut up some of those plastic ID cards that the NRA sends (why do they do that???!). I don't want it going into the trash with my name decipherable, because ID thieves around here look sometimes go through people's trash.

I started the job with an AUS 8 knife, and then switched to the WH. It made all the difference. It turned a pain-in-the-butt job into something almost fun.

Spyderco Para Military w/D2 blade. Stropped edge till scary sharp. Then a custom by Michael Veit with a 440C blade. Benchmade #960 Osborne w/D2 blade.

Also a CPM-D2 spyderco paramilitary, it was sharp out of the box, but I still decided to touch it up and now its almost scary sharp. After that would be a Winchester fixed blade that was given to me as a gift.

The sharpest and only knife I've ever had that would "pop" hair without touching the skin is the Benchmade Grip 550HG I recently got in trade from "pedicabdriver." He said it is the factory edge... unreal sharp. Next in line, and almost as sharp would be my Spyderco Native... Funny... the two least expensive knives I've owned in the last 10 years have come out of the box the sharpest.

S90V Spyderco Military. Out of the box it wasn't scary sharp, it was Jason vs. Freddy sharp. Creepy I'm going to touch you and bleed sharp.

All sound like very sharp. If you will understand this...leather strap to the blade helping you? I purchase the sharpmaker to help, but read the leather strap is better?

My sharpest would be my mora2000 and 52100 mule team, here is a pic of what the mora can do.

Mine is a toss between my dejavoo and my skirmish. Theyre both s30v and sharpened on a cardboard wheel. They scare hair off.

Down to either my D2 Para or my Composite Junkyard Dog II that is also D2.
My BM710D2BK is a close second. The JYDII is probably my sharpest in all honesty.

Love that CPM D2.

For me it is a 3 way tie between my BM Kulgera, spyderco Mini-manix, and BM Mini-Rukus. All of them are s30v, sharpened on my sharpmaker, and they can all shave arm hair easily. Sadly, I haven't gotten them to cut hair without touching the skin though.

my friend's BM Lum DeJavoo is just disgustingly sharp, even after being EDC'd for a month and not touched up, it will slice through thin cardboard stock (like a postcard) like it isn't there, it will easily shave arm hair, etc.

My sharpest out of the box knife was my standard Kershaw Leek (1660ST.) Yowwww.

My sharpest knife out of the box was my Emerson CQC-12.
Actually able to whittle hair out of the box!
I'd say it and my MIni Manix are my sharpest knives.

Mine is a Junk Yard Dog II Titanium with SG2 and David Mosier Defiant which is a laser beam.

Mine would probably be a Spyderco C25P Centofante I in ATS-34. That one will take hair off my arm without touching the skin. I had designated it a whittling knife, so I wasn't worried about the edge encountering hard objects, which is a pretty common occurrence for my work knives. Generally I settle for merely shaving sharp. ;)
