What knife for a collector?

Hello everyone, I'm looking for a recommendation for a Christmas gift.

My Father-in-law and his brother are huge knife collectors with 100's of knives between them. They generally get one or two of the generic Christmas gift sets from Remington or Gerber, but I wanted to try and do something a bit more creative this year. I'm looking to spend around $50 each for them and was looking for some possible choices that would fit that budget, be a desirable collectible knife, that there is enough rarity that they may not have one already.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help, really great forum you seem to have here!

dunno about rarity, but it would be a safe buy with case knives.
perhaps a made in the USofA case boned baby butterbean.

Excellent choice. In my pocket every day now.

Victorinox Farmer would be a good choice too.

Get them knives they'll use vs store.
