What knife for my father?

Hi all, I need to find a nice knife for my father. The specs would go something like this: Folding knife, belt carried, 3" or less blade length, strong lock, not too heavy. He really likes the Buck 110, but it's a bit larger and heavier than he wants. I haven't been able to get my hands on a 112 so I don't know if that would be a better choice. He also likes my ATS-34 gator with the drop point blade, but it's too beefy for him. Can you guys give me any suggestions? And one more thing, when it comes to my father the less tactical the better. Thanks in advance!

Let me know if you need any more dads, okay?

Seriously, I would recommend the Benchmade 555 Mini-Griptillian. Not too big or heavy and yet very well made.

It has a good axis locking system and a modified sheeps foot style blade made of good steel.

And you can get one in bright yellow so if he drops it while cutting the grass (or fixing the curtain rods in your bedroom) he will be able to easily find it!!!

Your father has good taste in folders. Those Buck lockbacks have a great grip, solid lock, and good looks, too.
Some knives similar to his favourite (Buck 112, AKA Ranger, 3" blade) are:

Schrade Uncle Henry Smokey LB5 (2 3/4" blade)...make sure it's the original Schrade, with "Schrade +" stamped on the blade, not the new Taylor made-in-China one)

Camillus Medium Lockback #3F (2 3/4" blade) (http://www.camillusknives.com/1mainframe.htm?camillus/index.shtml~main)

Kershaw Coral Creek #3115 (2 1/2" blade)

Kershaw Black Gulch #3120 (3" blade) (go to http://www.kershawknives.com/large.htm then click Pocket Knives, then Lockbacks)

The Buck Ranger 112 is a great idea, or you could go for the Buck Squire, Prince, or Knight. Very nice-looking lockbacks that fit the description, although they may be a bit short. The Buck 55 is perfect at 2.38" blade. Here's a pic.

I found this one on gpknives.com, and they have a nice large selection of Buck knives at decent prices.
