What knife for you makes the best curls?

Ok so I have been creeping around lately and not posting as much. So I have a question. What knives do you find for you have the best ability to make fuzz sticks? For me, I seem to find folders are easier for me to make fuzzies. Though my Enzo and Mora make nice ones, they are a bit thicker. My folders, especially the slipjoints I have been getting into lately make killer fuzz sticks and can do just about everything I want them to.

SAK is the king!

Ya my farmer makes Killer shavings. And man Bear, your fuzz sticks are amazing...what wood do you use?

I test all my knives with fuzzies. For me knives all work really well that
a) are sharp
b) have flattish single bevel geometry with acute edge angle
c) have edge come close to handle

Most impressive results have been with a finnish puukko with 3.5 inch blade at about .16 inch thick so it's not really that thin. When whittling in general and fuzzying Im not comfortable with the lateral and torsional flex with thin blades or their weak "bite".

I test my knives on both softwood and hardwood, fresh and seasoned with and without knots to get a picture where a knife works and when it's facing too hard of a task. It has always been the same. Softwood shows small differences and blades with thicker bevel shoulders and obtuse edge angles still work good enough but moving to hardwood and knots starts to show bigger and bigger differences in performance. Also, not all scandis are created equal. the angle matters. Big angle differences show big differences in performance eventhough the grind type is the same.

Surprisingly my 3/16 thick JK-AK makes the best curles of all my knives.

Anything scandi or full flat grind. My M95 is 0,22'' thick but makes awsome fuzzies both on soft and hard wood ;)

Had fun with the Nirmravus, the modified Grohmann #3 and RC6 work good too.

I was surprised that my Case stainless Sodbuster Jr. is such a fuzz making machine.

I have heard that the Sodbuster does make killer curls. I think the carbon ones would be my choice. But Sodbuster is a nice choice.
