What knife that you own gives you that new knife feeling?

I talking about the knife you own that always gives you "that" feeling every time you pick it up. This isn't about brand or steel x is better than y, this is about the knife that always brings a smile to your face when you handle it. For me that,s my ZT 0301, I dont carry it often and the blade steel isn't anything special compared to new steels, but every time I pick it up I get that same feeling of the first time you handle a new knife. It fits my hand just right, the blade flips open with a resounding twack! I never tire of handling this one. I own many other knives, but this one just has a special place. What knife does that to you?

The ones I haven't used yet, in particular, the performance line SnG or the LH diamond plate Sebenza which are my two newest knives.

I've had a lot of knives pass through my hands over the years. The only two that really consistently give me that special "new knife and everything's right with the world" feeling just holding them and looking at them are my digicam Para 2, and my Emerson mini-CQC15. And those are two of the knives I've owned the longest and used the most.

I purchased my first knive back in July, a Sage 1. Needless to say I've been through over 100 knives since then from Spyderco, ZT, Emerson, Kershaw, CRK, etc... For some reason the Sage 1 is still my favorite and most carried knife! It makes me smile every time I grab it.

The actual knife varies, but usually one of my fixed blades, as I use them so rarely. At the moment, that would probably be the Smith & Wesson SW1B bayonet that I bought to "match" my M&P Sport 15. It's nothing special as bayonets go, especially considering that the S&W name gets put on just about everything these days, but that's the knife that gives me the new knife feeling regardless.

Boker Apparo and Schrade SCHF1. Something about those two I really enjoy.

I have an Alan davis that I haven't dared carry yet that dazzles me everytime I take it out for a quick fondle. Russ

I'm in about the same boat. For me, the Para2, ZT0770, or the regular 15. Those 3 really just seem to get the most cutting time.

I guess the loud lockups/action in general make me happiest... it's like they command your attention by announcing they are open and ready. That echo a Sebenza 21 makes when locked or the swish noises of a Microtech Ultratech are two that come to mind.

I have a couple that makes me experience that new car smell sensation...SAK Farmer in alox, and my GEC #15 Barlow spearpoint; any one of my Sodbuster's run a close third.

The R.E.K.A.T. Carnivore Cub designed by Pat Crawford.Hands down the most comfortable and functional knife I've ever owned!

Bocote small sebenza.
Had it for almost 2 years and still is the same as the day I bought it.

Can't say the same for my spyderco southards which cost almost as much, but they clearly age while my sebenza has not.

Probably my Gryphon M-10 because it's the last one I bought. :)

Another would be my 4.5" J. Martinni leuku...my first leuk. I won't say how long I've had it.
OK, add my Tekna dive knife for its lines.....

I have to agree with the OP.

But my 454 is doing the same thing every time I carry it.

Probably my new Medford 187, because it's new, and it is by far my most expensive knife! Merry Christmas to me!

Farmer and my old Ka-Bar Mule. I can't explain the Mule attraction other than a feeling of tough readiness and all around utility.

531. It weighs nothing, is way more ergonomic than it looks, has the smoothest action of any knife I own, and I love the classic shape.

I was going to list the exact same two... 0301 and 0454. The 0301 fits the hand so perfectly, and the 0454's CF scales and flipping action feels incredible.
