What knife will bump the Boss Jack from the store?

I have been putting off ordering a Boss Jack for way too long now, and since it seems we may be getting the LBNMSHBM soon - I need to squirrel my cash away for it's release. My memory is failing me, but do we normally get a heads up when a knife is about to go the way of the pregnant dodo?

Anybody want to take a stab on what will take the long available BJ down?

I only joined "the madness" (look at me trying to be cool throwing around jargon already!) less than a week ago, so I'd like the questions answered as much as the OP. Is there ANY notification at all about anything traditionally with Busse? Speculation is cool and all, but a total noob like me, I need to know facts and history first!

Jerry will let us know what's next and Amy-0 gives us a heads up within a day of it changing over usually. LBNMSHBM has me salivating. :D

I don't know why, I am interested to see what the LBNMSHBM looks like but I dunno if I will buy one. I feel like a light brigade treatment to a battle mistress is somewhat oxymoronic. I hope the next offering is either huge or small. Possibly the basic 10 or mini muk.

I think the knife that will replace the Boss Jack is the Argonne Assualt-47

It's a cross between the AA and the AK-47 :D

Or......the LBSHBM. Either will work

I like your creative thinking!

I really really really really REALLY hope that the LBNMSHBM will be offered in Combat Grade... Wont be able to afford a satin LE or SE I dont think...

Thanks!

Hollow grind? So these are slicers not choppers?

It's a very slight hollow grind, it'll still have enough beef behind it to chop well :D

The next cool feature is the HUGE diameter shallow hollow grind (42" diameter that's bigger than a hula hoop!!!!!) used on the primary bevel. This ensures a much lighter blade while allowing for a wicked sharp edge. This large diameter also greatly decreases the tendency that smaller diameter hollow grinds have of binding in wood when chopping.

My reading was that some of the Light Brigade will be hollow ground.

Fortunately, it looks like the NMSHBMLB will be flat ground.:thumbup:

The Light Brigade Battle Mistress will have a full height flat grind!!!

Very Cooool ! ! ! ! ! !

Jerry :D
