So what are you guys using/taking with you in the field this spring?

Me personally... probably my Buck Vanguard (wooden handle); that I sharpened to a razor. It just seems such a comfortable knife to me personally.

ill have a couple Backwoods Customs made by Bill Akers with me. :)
These two always go in my game pack, no matter what i am hunting or fishing for :P

Mora....as always for just about everything

Are you sporting the carbon or the stainless these days? I keep bouncing back between the two. If they were the same thickness I'd probably go stainless but I really like the thin stock and the weight on the carbon.

Carbon all the way... i think the thin stock on the carbon really compliments the scandi grind for game duty. Also nothing says cool like a razor sharp blade with a patina... i do have a few stainless ones but just prefer the carbon. Hope all is well brother.

My last turkey deconstructing knife I used was perfect: Bark River Fingerling, their take on the Sharp Finger pattern. Nice and thin and very slicey.

I know. Patinas get me too.

LOL...yes autocorrect, Latinas as well. :p

My Buck 422 in it's camouflage pouch hangs on the side of my bag waiting more for mushrooms than a turkey.
